During Lent many people try to give up sweets. Some just chocolate. Others, like me, try to give up chocolate for good.
I’ve been telling you a while back that I haven’t eaten chocolate for some time and trying hard to stay away from it.
Looking at these buns, clearly I can’t be trusted. I gave in. Had to had some chocolate. I should be sleeping on the treadmill.

And if the chocolate inside wasn’t enough, I drizzled some on top. There’s never too much chocolate, is it?
I loved every bite of these buns. The recipe is easy and the it rises so quickly.
In my opinion, if you follow the recipe you should divide the dough into 16 or even 20 balls. This time I made 12 but I found them a little too big after baking.
There’s something else left out in the recipe : how to stop eating them !!! they’re addictive

To get the recipe for these heavenly delicious buns with stunning photos you have to go to Sandra’s blog.

Sweet Rolls filled with Chocolate

I started reading Sandra’s blog few months ago. Her amazing photos, her sense of humor and the family meals make me go back every time I receive an email she posted something new.

If you have never visited Sandra’s blog take my advice and have some tissues handy, you’ll need them to wipe your chin after all that drooling. Look at these  Sweet Potatoes Phyllo Cups she made for Mardi Gras or the Oscar inspired menu

My friend Monet from Anecdotes and Apples,  has suffered a family tragedy.  Her oldest sister and her family were in a terrible accident, her nephew passed away, and her sister and brother in law are in critical condition. If you haven’t already, please reach out to Monet and her family, and send her love, prayers, and support.  She needs all of us more than ever

hehehe! You are too funny! I have never given up chocolate before so I know I would do the same. At my best I try to cut back on how much sugar I have, but that doesn’t always work out for me :) These look beautiful. The way you drizzled the chocolate on top looks awesome! I hope you have a fantastic weekend!

Oh boy, you can't go wrong with chocolate and I love how you drizzled it onto your buns so prettily. I have a sweet treat linky party going on at my blog and I'd like to invite you to stop by and link your buns up. http://sweet-as-sugar-cookies.blogspot.com/2011/03/sweets-for-saturday-10.html

Thank you Roxana for making these, they came out perfect and delicious! And photos are just stunning!
I am so glad that you enjoyed, and yes I did warn people that I had to be removed from kitchen physically because I couldn't stop eating.:)
Have a wonderful day!

Rox – your pics continue to amaze me :)

I do have one request, if you have a shot of the inside of the bun – it would just make my chocolate free weekend complete :)

You are making even a non-chocolate lover like me drool! How's this possible. I think the last 20 recipes I've added to my wish to bake list all come from your blog. I need to start making them this weekend.

For Lent I always give up meat and fish….though I would always think this time I should give up sweets and chocolates….but then sticking to that is pretty difficult…so its always meat and fish…and boy! these buns are looking soooo yummy that I just feel like grabbing one…have a wonderful Sunday.

These look absolutely sinful! If they were sitting in front of me I would gobble them all up without a second thought even though I give up all sweets (and red meat, and alcohol, and fried food) for lent. I guess I just like to torture myself! Your photos are gorgeous! Have a great weekend :-)

I adore Sandra's site as well and she is such a sweet heart…These came out so amazing! Good thing I am not your neighbor, I would weigh 300 lbs and you would probably have to get a restraining order :)
It is very horrific about Monet and her family, they are always in our thoughts.

Something about the words filled buns brings out my immature side. hehe. These do look beautiful though. And your dishes are awesome. Love those little plates. I give you kudos for trying to cut back on the chocolate – Im not sure I have the willpower to even try.
